Cope Consulting Ltd offers to the youth high quality online professional development workshops and seminars in Personal Development & Leadership, Job Readiness & Entrepreneurship.

Due to the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent long closure of schools, Cope Consulting Ltd has endeavored to offer its contribution to the career development of the youth specifically in the area of Personal Development & Leadership. We, at Cope Consulting Ltd, strongly believe that we have the will, the knowledge and capacity to help teenagers, high school students, students of higher learning institutions, university students, graduates at different levels in our community to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic by channeling their potential into productive personal development pursuits.

Cope Consulting Ltd has prepared exciting participatory online training sessions aimed at not only equipping our youth with lifelong hands-on skills but also prevent them from negative behavior such as alcohol abuse, drug abuse, promiscuous sexual behavior and more, that may be exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. To this end, Cope Consulting Ltd has launched online training sessions offering lifelong skills in a wide range of topics in modular form. Cope consulting has planned to start with the following modules for the two next months :

  • Module 1 : Personal development, from June 14th to July 10th 2020
    Deadline for payment : June 12th 2020
  • Module 2 : Leadership development, from July 14th to August 7th 2020

Module 1 : Personal development (online)

Why train in personal development ?
Personal development for the youth will :

  • Equip them with tools like goal setting, teamwork, golden tips for success.
  • Develop their efficacy as well as sharpen the skills relevant to their success in life.

Objective of the training session

General objective :

At the end of this training program, participants will be able :
To develop skills of positive self-awareness, self-talk and draw a personal development plan

To prepare for the real world by learning how to navigate through life, understand themselves and others, learn what it takes to reach their full potential, know and believe that they have all it takes to succeed in life.

Specific objectives

  • To positively and critically analyze his/her own strengths and weaknesses,
  • To set personal goals, raise his/her self-esteem, confidence, motivation, and ability to implement decisions in a hands on practical problem solving manner.
  • To increase Financial literacy
  • To develop more meaningful personal relationships and more successful interpersonal, social and working relationships.
  • To develop skills of positive self-awareness, self-talk and enable them to draw a personal development plan

Training methodology

This is a learner based training approach. In order for trainees to attain maximum and sustainable lifelong benefits from the program, participants will be expected to play a very active role in every session. It is in this connection that before the beginning of any particular training session/lesson, every participant will be told the topic of the lesson and the lesson objective(s). The participant will also be required to critically think of, and look for basic facts related to that topic as well as answering some pertinent questions drawn from his/her research.

For teaching learning aids, the training sessions will rely on the use of videos and documentaries of international experts, successful personalities and famous opinion leaders in that particular field. Based on the learner centered interactive approach of the training sessions, each learner will be required to participate actively in contributing ideas to other learners as well as to give constructive feedback to the facilitator(s).There will also be a variety of on-spot exercises and assignments.

Finally, every participant will be personally responsible for drawing a program, schedule or roadmap detailing how he/she will apply what he/she will have learnt into real life application.

NB : English will be the medium of instruction and communication during the training.

Duration

This module will cover a period of one month, (one day per week).

Certification

Upon completion of the training period and based on regular attendance, good conduct, active participation and mastery of content, participants will be awarded certificates by Cope Consulting Ltd.

Why Leadership program among the youth

Youth leadership program is fundamental since it increases their self-esteem, confidence, team spirit, self-motivation, and ability to establish useful networks in order to fully participate in community life and affect positive social change.

Objective of the training session

At the end of this training program, participants will be able

To better understand themselves so that they can be more effective and guide others on a course of action while positively influencing their behavior and serving as a role model

  • To channel their energy in a positive way,
  • To acquire skills in building a cohesive and spirited team
  • To motivate their peers toward a common purpose.
  • To seize opportunities and lead people and organizations to greatness.

  • Handling (manage) various personalities
  • How to win the negotiation game
  • Strategies for effective meetings and presentations

Training methodology

This is a learner-based, highly interactive training.
